The Boston Marathon bombing deeply affected our team of girls.  Our concern was with Thomas and Coach Kathy who were running and for many of the STRIVERS along the course watching.  We felt the best thing we could do as a team was to move forward and set an example of strength for our community. STRIVERS hosted a fundraiser on 4/27, “Run/Walk One for The ONE Fund”.  We invited the community to come run or walk a mile at the High School track and make a donation to The ONE Fund Boston.  It was a wonderful day with more than 700 people coming out to support us.  STRIVERS collected 810 miles for those marathoners who did not get to finish and we raised $7,800 in two hours.
